At Ascension Lutheran Church we believe that we must welcome children of all ages into our community to love and nurture. Ascension embraces the philosophy of “The Child in Our Hands” which means that we believe churches need to partner with parents to provide a community of parenting for all our children. Check out the Youth and Family Institute of Augsburg College to read more about “The Child in Our Hands.”
Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Sunday School is offered for children as young as 2 years old through high school age. Through a variety of stimulating, age-graded activities, stories and music, children learn the fundamentals of Christianity. Classes are held Sunday mornings in various rooms across campus, throughout the school year. Sunday School is held every Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted due to Holidays or special occasions. Check the newsletter or church calendar throughout the year for updates. If you are interested in teaching or assisting, whether it’s every Sunday or once a month, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
