Our Men’s Ministry offers opportunities for men to gather in community to build relationships and network with other Christian men, in addition to recharging their spiritual batteries.
The first Tuesday of each month we gather to watch a new and unique TED Talk and then discuss the impact it has on our lives, especially within a Christian context. TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading”.
We meet at 7 pm in Founders Hall, directly behind the Sanctuary. Light snacks and beverages are provided.
Men’s Ministry hosts several social events throughout the year that focus on meeting new friends and digging deeper into God’s purpose and call for our lives together. Some of these events include Group Hiking, BBQ lunches, and the ever popular Beer and Theology night. We aim to host at least one event every month, alternating between social and service focuses.
The men of Ascension Lutheran Church are passionate about serving as the “hands and feet” of our Lord. Assisting those in need is a scriptural calling and one we feel blessed to seek out and accomplish. Some of our ongoing service projects include partnering with Habitat for Humanity and Ascension Lutheran Campus Clean-Up events, with more opportunities being developed regularly.
