Join us in Founder’s Hall for our Sunday morning adult education classes at 9:30 a.m. Pastors, lay leaders and guest speakers conduct sessions on topics ranging from the Old Testament and the Psalms to the similarities and differences between Christianity and Islam. This year, Ascension Church, our Youth groups, Sunday School and School are joining together in reading The Story, the popular abridged narrative version of The Bible. Women meet on a weekly basis (late September through May) from 9:15 – 11:00 a.m. for Bible study and breakfast. Currently, the group is studying Liz Curtis Higgs’ Bad Girls of the Bible: And What We Can Learn From Them. All ages.
Meets weekly in the homes of senior high families from 7:00-9:00 P.M., dealing with contemporary issues and concerns facing senior high youth today. There is no required reading, and each Bible Study is a “stand alone” study so that even if you can’t be present every week, you are on the same page as everyone else. Friends are always welcome, and always encouraged!
Weekly Bible study 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Sidestreet Cafe in Newberry Park (996 Lawrence Drive, No. 233). Members meet weekly for fellowship and Bible study over breakfast.
Open to both men and women, this Wednesday book club meets monthly on the second Wednesday afternoon of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Room. This study centers on the material written and published in Gather, the magazine published by the ELCA and the national organization of Lutheran women.
This 7-week course is designed to provide basic information about the Christian faith and provide a friendly, safe forum for questions. Held twice per year in the Spring and Fall. Contact Pastor Tim.

This in-depth Bible study series is designed to enhance one’s knowledge of the Bible and God’s saving grace by utilizing an overview approach to the Old and New Testaments. Contact Pastor Tim.
Small groups of up to 12 people meet, usually in members’ homes, for fellowship, worship and Bible study. Members also perform some form of service to the church or community. Past projects have included supplying Ascension’s food pantry and refinishing the church’s main doors, serving at dinners for the homeless, etc. If you are interested in hosting a small group study, please contact Pastor Tim.
