The Chancel Choir sings at the traditional services during the school year, as well as on special occasions. It gives choir members the opportunity for personal growth and development of their vocal and musical skills. We rehearse and sing great works of sacred choir literature of all styles and periods including the annual Christmas Cantata. Be a part of this diverse and friendly community of musicians and experience a sense of achievement and purposefulness. A basic music reading skill is recommended but not mandatory. The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
The Chapel Choir is for youngsters in first through sixth grades. The choir sings periodically at worship services and on special occasions. Rehearsals are Sundays, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
The Cherub Choir is for children in preschool through kindergarten. For many this will be their first singing opportunity. It is a fun group that encourages singing out God’s praises. Rehearsals are Sundays, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Youth in ninth through twelth grades are welcome to belong to the Sonburst Choir. The choir sings monthly at worship services and on special occasions. The highlight of the year is a two-week choir tour that has taken members to such places as Montana and New Orleans and often includes regional and national youth gatherings. Rehearsals are 6:00 p.m. Sundays in the sanctuary.
The Sonlight Choir is open to youth in seventh and eighth grades. The choir sings regularly at worship services and on special occasions. Rehearsals are Thursdays, 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.
